the language of is a compilation of ten new compositions by eight new york city experimental composers. the aesthetic range of the music is wide - with influences ranging from metal to minimalism, bernhard lang to salvatore sciarrino, electronic music to noise – yet the compositions have a common thread: this is serious music written by serious composer, performed by some of the best instrumentalists in new york city.
