Mr Paritosh, I am not sure about actual application of PVC in this case. I have seen people using acrylic panels on wall ,not PVC. I am not sure what material & application you are talking about. Please talk to some expert, I think you should apply coat of primer or some chemical on brick wall before covering it with finish material directly. This is not proven option, so you will need to experiment & see how it goes. Between idea sounds interesting – save on plastering & paneling. We did one room where client wanted one wall to remain as brick wall. We did primer on it, it was left as highlighter. Such experimental ideas are risk prone. In most cases they do not last for years. Either they dont stay functional or you stop liking it. .

The prep work is meticulous, they carefully protect surfaces not meant to be painted, including my beautiful Cordyline plants that touch the wall. They even taped plastic over my cement floor backyard. The quality of the work is great, I don't see any flaws in the paint job, and the paint is quick drying with no overwhelming paint smell. They fixed any minor flaws with the surfaces, applying patches and re-stuccoing as needed. My house looks new again!
If you’re working with a great painting contractor, they should have a color consultant who can help you choose the best color for your house. A color expert is the best source for helping you find the ideal color to paint the interior or exterior of your house. You can ask him or her any question you have and get professional advice that is personalized for your home. If you don’t want to do the work yourself, this is a major perk that comes with hiring a painting contractor.

We’re currently flipping a house from the late 60s. We stripped popcorn ceilings ourselves in the entire house, re-textured every ceiling and wall, replaced all of the trim, and repainted every surface. We painted the ceilings with a roller extension- it was by far my least favorite part of renovations so far- so much easier if you do it before flooring is in though! I can’t wait to see more posts on the house! Such a neat project! Emily @ Life on Food February 25, 2015

Painting brick, stucco, and concrete typically require a bit more work, and paint won’t go as far on these surfaces. Expect a 5-15% markup when painting these surfaces.
The size will also affect how much primer and paint you’ll need to purchase. As a reference, one gallon of any Behr paint will cover approximately 250 to 400 square feet (one coat). Your home will most likely need two coats, especially if you’re choosing a darker color.
