This is obviously the biggest way to save money if you have the time. Exterior painting is roughly 80% labor (or more oftentimes), so you can save a lot of money by doing it yourself.

Exterior paint may last up to 20 years or as little as 3 years, depending on the location, climate, siding type, and paint type and quality. Behr has been a Home Depot brand paint since 1978. They offer a wide range of interior paints suitable for everyday painting projects and high-end jobs. The cost of this paint ranges in price from $23 to $40 per gallon. Behr paint is on the thicker side, which helps with overall coverage but may make it difficult to do any intricate custom work. Since the paint is thicker, it takes slightly longer to dry.

Josh, some great work on the renovation, it’s come up really nicely! It’s good to see you stressing the importance of not taking short cuts when it comes to prepping and removing wallpaper. It definitely does lead to more problems down the road when done incorrectly. However there is a caveat on that. If the wallpaper is in good condition and you have primed it properly, you can get away with painting over wallpaper. On a few jobs where the client has been on a tight budget, we have used an oil based primer to really seal the adhesive and keep then moisture from the paint away. Has worked well and we haven’t got any call backs. But I’d still agree with you and always push for stripping back wallpaper where possible. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure as the saying goes. Also, would love to see how your painted popcorn ceilings came up. We call it ‘vermiculite’. Its quite old school and we come across it in school jobs and old buildings occasionally. Jake Beals May 09, 2020
I am an owner of a 5 unit apartment building. I currently have a vacancy and need to have a unit painted prior to rerenting. The apartment unit is 1,100 square feet with high vaulted ceilings. They said they don't paint apartments only condos and townhomes?
I hired Great Plains Painting and Stetson to paint the interior of my house in Fairway. They also patched ceiling cracks, and installed a door and pet door for me. Their workers were courteous, timely, and did an amazing job. Thanks again guys! Highly recommended and will definitely refer you to my friends & neighbors.

No two interior paint jobs will be alike. It is important to analyze the overall state of your space before you get started. If you are painting your ceiling, trim, and baseboards, there’s a chance you may need to take a few extra steps to prepare your space. This includes removing popcorn ceiling 4, moving furniture away from the walls, repairing drywall, and cleaning your baseboards and trim. You may also want to have doors painted and windows caulked, adding a bit more to your overall project.
