House was 1,100 SQ Ft and only soffit and trim were painted. Garage was 480 Sq ft and that needed 100% of area painted. Charged me $524.00 for supplies and $2,690.00 for labor. I feel like he charged nearly $1,000 too much. He did not repair any wood but said he washed the exterior and sanded and caulked as needed. Did I pay too much? "Our house looks great! Everyone was patient throughout and committed to ensuring we were satisfied customers as we vacillated with respect to color schemes, etc. The house had not been painted for years and the siding and fascia were badly weathered. Charles' commitment to quality ensured there was no skimping on the prep work, after which the painting went smoothly and beautifully. We were well informed throughout the job. Would recommend."

The quote from our contractor was $2500 and that number didn’t include skim coating the dining room, which we ran into unexpectedly. So we saved over $1000 doing it ourselves, and our cost included a paint sprayer we purchased! Actually, let me break down all of the costs for you. (This is a rough breakdown, all numbers are rounded.)
